VLCC collaborates with the Ministry of Women & children development in its mission to provide vocational training to destitute and homeless women in the attempt to empower them with skills to earn a better livelihood. VLCC has already undertaken the vocational rehabilitation of 48 destitute and homeless women and seeks to bring about a positive change into their lives.
Amongst other initiatives, VLCC supports the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women as it works globally to provide women entrepreneurs with easy access to trade networks, finances and business development support.
On the 11th of December, 2009, the Foundation hosted its first ‘Women Mean Business Conference’ in Mumbai. The event witnessed the participation of over 350 individuals as well as 36 high profile speakers from across various industrial verticals in India.
