2. Nature of Treatment Claims

Treatment efficacy: All treatments, including CoolSculpting, Lipolaser, and other fat reduction technologies, are approved for specific, localized fat reduction or cosmetic purposes as per the respective manufacturers’ guidelines and regulatory approvals.
No guaranteed weight loss or fat reduction: These procedures are not a substitute for medical weight-loss programs and do not guarantee permanent or full-body weight loss. Results may vary based on individual factors, including body composition, lifestyle, and BMI.
Clinical limits: Some machines or procedures are tested only in specific populations and may not have been tested extensively in Indian or Asian demographics. VLCC is committed to informing clients of these limitations.

3. CoolSculpting Specific Disclaimer

FDA Approval: CoolSculpting is approved by the US FDA only for the reduction of localized fat bulges in specific areas such as upper arm, bra fat, back fat, banana roll, submental area, thigh, abdomen, and flank.
BMI Restriction: The procedure is intended for individuals with a BMI of 30 or less. It is not a general weight-loss solution.
Demographics: US FDA approvals are based on clinical trials that may not include Indian or Asian participants.
Treatment Scope: The procedure targets focal fat deposits and is not weight loss or to replace a healthy diet or exercise regimen.
No Indian FDA Approval: The US FDA has not specifically approved CoolSculpting for use in India.

4. Procurement of devices and statutory approvals

The CoolSculpting machine is manufactured in the United States by M/s. Zeltiq Aesthetics Inc. Allergan Healthcare India Limited holds a valid import license dated 29.11.2022, issued by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), for the import and marketing of the Zeltiq CoolSculpting device in India under the Medical Device Regulations.
The Zeltiq CoolSculpting device is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (US-FDA) for non-invasive fat reduction in specific areas, including the upper arm, bra fat, back fat, banana roll, submental area, thigh, abdomen, and flank, for individuals with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or less.
As per clinical data submitted by Zeltiq Aesthetics and reviewed by the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA), the device demonstrates ≥20 mm area reduction in the submental area and neck within 12 weeks of treatment.
LipoLaser machines shall be procured locally from certified suppliers, in compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.
